Regulations for Domestic Travel in Indonesia

 

General Regulations Based on the Circular Letter of the COVID-19 Task Force No. 1 of 2023

For individuals who travel domestically and internationally, engage in activities in public facilities, and participate in large-scale events must make personal efforts to protect themselves from COVID-19 transmission. Each individual:

  • is recommended to receive the COVID-19 vaccination up to the 2nd booster or 4th dose, especially for individuals at high risk of COVID-19 transmission;
  • is allowed not to wear masks when in a healthy condition and not at risk of contracting or transmitting COVID-19;
  • is advised to carry a hand sanitizer and/or use soap and running water for regular handwashing;
  • is recommended to maintain distance or avoid crowds to prevent COVID-19 transmission, especially individuals who are unwell and at risk of contracting or transmitting COVID-19; and
  • is recommended to continue using the SATUSEHAT application to monitor personal health.

Hotel Stay Regulations

  • In Java and Bali: hotels and their supporting facilities (spa, swimming pool, gym, sports field, etc.) are allowed to operate at 100% capacity.
  • Outside of Java and Bali: hotels can fully operate (100%) with more stringent regulations on operational hours, capacity, and implementation of health protocols.
