Of course, pods was my most important criteria to stay there. Mine didn't lock but I felt secure. Needed extra time for my daily transportations to Central Station. Easy to check-in late if it is pre-paid.

The location is right next to the beach and shops. They have a kitchen with a functional function and a spacious living room. The bathroom also has a shared bathroom. There are hairs, dust, and sand all over the floor and shelves in the room. Showers and toilets need cleaning but they are still working.

Between christmas and the new year, we spent two nights in a double room. We were delighted to discover this location because all the other hostels demanded a minimum reservation of five and seven nights. The proprietor greeted us with a grin and was unmatched in helping. The location is wonderful, with the beach only 5 minutes away, a supermarket nearby, and a variety of cafes and restaurants. The wifi was easy and free, and the kitchen and restrooms were spotless. At the time of our stay, they had capsules for solitary travelers. I would not think twice about recommending this hotel to my friends, and if I were fortunate enough to come to Sydney again, I would be delighted to remain here.

I stayed in a dorm room with four beds at congee beachfront cheap lodging for two nights. The location is excellent, short stroll from the beach with shops and eateries to access, location is not to be taken lightly! The hostel where I stayed was either down dark side stairs or down the back of the kitchen and down wooden stairs, neither is the idea in the dark. The rooms are ok and clean, ceiling fans work relatively well to keep the room cool, and there is no air conditioning. There aren't lockers for keeping goods safe, and the top bunk beds don't have rails, so you sleep with a fear of falling out! Clean and tidy hallway areas, great benefit to have a washing line to hang clothes on to dry! Bathrooms are not great, there is only one bathroom door locked, every time someone took a shower, the entire bathroom soaked! Also, there is nowhere to hang your clothes in the shower to keep them dry! Bathroom tiling and general condition are poor, could use a deep cleaning. The staff are really friendly and helpful, and they work hard! I probably wouldn't choose to stay here again.

One of the workers is pretty keen on padlocking the outdoor furniture and locking the common room before designated quiet time. These facilities are then not made available in a timely manner in the morning so there isn’t anywhere comfy to write a postcard and have a coffee. I found this an amusing bonding experience with other guests as we speculated on what might have happened to him dude. Poor poor petty man.

very good reception but unfortunately the rooms are much too small, you have to put the suitcases in a very narrow corridor. I had two big suitcases and there were only steps to access the room which was quite complicated. the bed was very uncomfortable, I felt like I was sleeping on the floor. and the sheets smelled like sheets already well used which was very unpleasant

The location is perfect and the host was kind enough to check us in after 10 PM, although there is self check in as well. But the room smelt a bit stale and the bed cover didn't feel fresh.The room was small, but OK for just an overnight stay.

I stayed for one night. The location is nice, very close to Coogee beach. I stayed in a 4-share room and was assigned a top bunk with no rail. For me this was not a great start and partly my own fault because it is usually something I check prior to arrival. I really dislike top bunks without rails. When I stayed the weather was not particularly hot. Nevertheless, a roommate took it upon himself to switch on the fan at 12:30AM. Said fan was situated just above my own bunk, so with what felt like a jet propeller roaring above my head all night, absolute sleep deprivation was inevitable. The staff generally were EXCELLENT and made me feel very welcome. However, I feel that I should mention the male member of staff who confronted me late at night. It was approx 11:30pm and I had taken my suitcase to the kitchen for packing - in order to avoid disturbing my roommates. The man I am referring to walked in and stared menacingly at me - as if I was a naughty schoolchild. I felt very intimidated. He decided to inform me that it was 'quiet time', in spite of the fact that I was making no noise. This confrontation made me want to leave there and then, but I knew that at this time of night, alternative accommodation would be limited. I write this as a warning to other guests who might also find this sort of experience unpleasant.

They don’t provide towels and bathroom didn’t have any toilet paper….plus I’m sick now and I only stayed 2 nights.
