Overall, good value. Ive stayed at Glenferrie on numerous occasions in the past eight years, and while I still rate it highly and the breakfast location is superior, I still rank it highly. Some of the building is now showing a fair bit of wear and cleaning, such as a lot of dust underneath the beds. It might just be the cheaper rooms, but I hope that before my next visit, the rooms are more stylish to return to Glenferrie to what I remember from my previous visits. Wifi often appears to struggle to deliver speed. Staff is always welcoming.

This hotel is in the middle of the city directly across from the opera house and harbor bridge. This location was ideal in terms of location. We could walk to the ferry and get anywhere without using other transportation. The breakfast that was included was not bad, but if we stayed longer than our three nights, I'm sure we would have liked a bigger assortment but it was ideal for three nights. The room was spacious, but there was no room service to clean and make beds for the hotel, so I assumed this would be provided. But overall, excellent location and a good experience.

Although the room was roomy, I believe room service was absent for cleaning or making beds for a hotel. Overall, it was a fantastic place to stay and a good experience. This hotel is conveniently situated in the center of town, directly across from the opera house and harbor bridge, giving it the ideal location. We could walk to the ferry and basically get wherever we wanted without using other transportation. Although the included breakfast wasn't terrible, if we remained longer than our three nights, I am sure we would have preferred a larger selection, but it was excellent for three nights.

The receptionist is warm and friendly. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfy, and the aircon and wifi work well. The drawback is that there is a shared bathroom and toilet on the ground and almost unisex. But, these are clean, with good jets of hot shower water, and shower spray for body, hair, and conditioner. Room access cards should be another color. The white makes it appear a ferry ticket or other coupon. The room safe and bar fridge both worked. There are only six hangers, but I'm sure the hotel will provide more upon request. I particularly enjoy the desk and comfy chairs in the room. There is no lift to the different floors. I saw a tiny section of water around Kirribili and boats passing by from my room. Breakfast was decent, but the coffee was very weak.

I have stayed in Glenferrie on a number of occasions over the past 8 years and am still positive the place is also amazing. Some of the property is now showing signs of wear and need a greater level of cleaning in the rooms such as a lot of dust under the beds. The rooms may just be affected because of the lower prices, but I hope the prices drop again because that will give Glenferrie more nostalgia. The wifi is frequently slow to provide a quick response. The personnel is also polite. Excellent overall value.

About Glenferrie Lodge

This hotel is located on Sydney Harbour in the suburb of Kirribilli, which is on the North Sydney side of the harbour. It has beautiful tree-lined streets, some majestic old townhouses and quaint shady publ. It is set in a large private garden and has communal verandas with harbour views. A central patio has tables, chairs and parasols. Interiors are decorated in a Victorian-era style. All rooms have shared bathroom facilities, a TV and a mini-fridge. The twin and double rooms also have tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer and an ironing set. The hotel has an outdoor patio and picnic area. There are also many fishing spots. A hot buffet breakfast is served in the dining room. Breakfast includes fresh and delicious food.
