Hotellet lå veldig sentralt i fht Darling Harbor, operahuset, The rock, og flere andre steder. Shopping rett utforbi hotellet. Mange restauranter rundt. Koselig og sitte i baren til hotellet og ha noe å spise og drikke. Nær park, og togstasjonen. Personalet var veldig hyggelige og hjelpsomme. Hadde bodd her igjen

Great location, accomodating staff. I knew there was no elevator, so can't complain about that! Pub was great for happy hour and dinner. Bathroom was smallish and reminded me of being in an RV, but knew about that too. All in all a good place to stay for a couple of days.

It was a very good stay. Very well located, near town hall station (where you get everything for everywhere), refurbished room, good spacious, good bathroom, good bed. The only remark is there is no breakfast, but there is a dulce gusto machine (free) and several coffee shops very close. I recommend the stay.

Nice clean rooms. Minor downside with not having an elevator, but manageable. The food and drinks in the pub downstairs is really good. Very quiet room, considering how close it is to the CBD.

Amazing hotel and central to the shopping area. Rooms were clean and cosy. Toilets are spotless and love the stay here. Only negative is that there is no lifts so you will need to carry your bag up the stairs

Great staff on check in , really friendly and show you to your room.Irish pub downstairs and standard pub upstairs with great meals …. Close to everything being in Pitt St in the heart of the city…. Loved the place , will stay again when in Sydney .

Great location. Check-in at bar. Staff friendly. Art-deco style building and decor with original features in nicely restored condition. Accommodation has separate swipe card entrance. Very quiet the night I stayed in one of the back rooms on the top floor - 49 steps - no lift - not too bad as you can rest on the landings on the way up. Bathrooms are modern installation ensuites. Only a short walk to Town Hall

We needed a room right away after our flight from australia was canceled. Accommodation was scarce due to a major event in town, and the Criterion came to the rescue. I wasnt going to be picky under the circumstances, but i was so happy we landed here. This is a beautiful historic building with stunning art Deco features, and it has undergone some modern updates. Its true there is no lift, but we were traveling with carryon, so it was no problem. The stairwell itself is beautiful, with inlaid designs on the stairs and leadlight art Deco windows, and has a separate entrance from the pub itself. The room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a frosted glass pod with a basin, toilet, and shower. Perfectly adequate and a smart solution in a hotel that originally did not have private bathrooms. Water pressure was good, and the hot water supply was stable. Wallmounted air conditioner that worked well, as windows cant be opened. The original ones would have opened, but they have been double glazed with an additional panel on the inside. This reduces noise from the street significantly, but not completely. I was impressed with how quiet it was for being in the heart of sydney, but if you need silence to sleep, you might need earplugs. The pub itself has the main level which is light and bright, and downstairs is a lovely cozy irish pubstyle area. The bar down here wasnt open while we were there, but we were free to bring our drinks from upstairs. We parked there happily for an hour or two. The staff was all great. Is only sad that we didnt stay here the whole trip, the first hotel was nowhere near as good. Would definitely stay again.
