I booked a standard room for a night here. The old-looking interior is well maintained. The 1900s windows are still fully functional and air conditioning works just fine. I love the smell of the hotel's linens. They are definitely not like the quality fabric from fancy hotels but the linens reminded me of many memorable places in Bandungan-Semarang, and Kaliraung-Jogja). Some people were smoking just outside my room, which was a bit annoying for me. Other than that, the hotel is really affordable and more authentic, so if you are young travelers looking for experience over top-notch comfort, I highly recommend this one instead of the modern ones in the area, even if you can afford better accommodations. The resorts and 3-star-and-above hotels are available, but they are lackluster.
