It's worth it if you're traveling alone for a day. There is another hotel in Geneva with a similar name. The hotel aquarium has friendly day staff and is near the port. The rooms, however, are filthy clean and in need of painting and tile. The night staff is probably only an elderly gentleman. I was there with a 5-year-old when the glass sink shelf literally shattered and flew across the small bathroom into the bedroom. When I first called, he came up and swept some glass down the sink with his hand over 30 minutes later, I came up and cleaned a small area. My Italian is limited, and his English is zero. We remained because it was past 9 at the time. The small street you walk up is a bit dark and trashy. I wasn't getting a good night's sleep as I was vigilant that my child didn't wake up and walk across the glassy floor. I didn't even shower because you could see glass glinting in the stall.

Only if you enjoy climbing stairs, take public transport slowly, and dislike large rooms. We had planned to spend five nights, but cancelled two, and we didn't regret leaving early. You are informed that there is nearby parking, but there isn't one, you must go to the seashore and spend a fortune. We were told to spend 18 dollars per day, which is uninviting, and ended up paying more. Even the locals weren't aware of it, making it difficult to locate the place. Our languages are English and French, but when we rang up lost to speak with someone in either language, we were informed tomorrow. We were assisted by a street Italian. Then, you descend steep stairs. Two individuals plus luggage are not permitted in the lift. The room was clean, with adequate facilities except it was too small. We had to return items to our vehicle to rest. Fortunately, the air conditioning operated and wasn't too noisy. Additionally, we had to shut the window at night because of the noise in early summer.

This place was fine when we found it. It is very central, facing the aquarium in the old city labyrinth of alleyways. I couldn't find it without the help of a local and even Germans could not find it. I'm okay with the positives it was clean and had adequate facilities, including a shower and wifi. But the room is much too small for two people and we had to move stuff back to the car.

Overall, I was happy. We didn't have breakfast there, so I cannot comment. I booked this hotel at the last minute after the place I had previously booked let us down. Good service for the price. The ac in our bedroom was a lifesaver, the style is not the most modern ever and the lift is very small, but the staff are really friendly and the location is great if you plan to visit the city.
