Cabin Baggage

• Economy Class

1. 1 (one) cabin baggage with a maximum weight of 7 (seven) kg.

• Crown Class

1. 2 (two) cabin baggage with a maximum weight of 7 (seven) kg/baggage.

• For flights with the Embraers fleet, only 1 (one) cabin baggage is allowed.
• Maximum dimensions 115 cm or (23 x 41 x 51 cm) including wheels, handles, side pockets, etc.
• In addition to the cabin baggage allowance, each passenger can bring 1 (one) personal item.
• Infant passenger

1. You can bring baby food and other necessities for the flight, with a maximum weight of 7 kg.

Checked Baggage

• Economy Class

1. 1 (one) checked baggage with a maximum weight of 30 kg.

• Crown Class

1. 2 (two) checked baggage, the first baggage weight up to 30 kg and the second baggage up to 23 kg.

• Luggage dimensions must not exceed 158 cm/62 inches.
• Infant passenger

1. 1 (one) checked baggage with a maximum weight of 10 kg.
2. Luggage dimensions must not exceed 115 cm/45 inches.

Public policy

• Every passenger must occupy the seat which is determined during check-in.
• Carry-on baggage must be put in luggage compartment or below the passenger’s seat.
• Cellphones and any electrical devices must be switched off or alter to flight mode, especially during take off and landing.
• Please tighten your seatbelt, fold the table, put your seat upright, and open the window during take off and landing.
• It is against the law and strictly prohibited to smoke anywhere in the aircraft during the flight.

Expectant Mother Policy

• Passengers with normal pregnancy conditions (complication-free) can fly with Royal Jordanian.
• Passengers with gestational age under 28 weeks:

1. It is recommended to consult their doctor/medical practitioner before traveling.

• Passengers with a gestational age of 28 weeks and above:

1. Must submit a certified medical report from a personal obstetrician issued within seven days before the travel date, and this report must be approved by the Royal Jordanian Medical Advisor.
2. To obtain the necessary approvals, passengers can call the Royal Jordanian Call Center at 0096265100000 or email the Special Assistance Coordinator at rjsacs@rj.com.

• Passengers with multiple pregnancies (twins or more) after the 34th week will not be accepted for travel.
• All passengers with a gestational age of 36 weeks will not be accepted to travel on Royal Jordanian.
• Medical Reports submitted to Royal Jordanian must have:

1. Age of pregnant women.
2. State whether the pregnancy is single or multiple.
3. State the gestational age in weeks.
4. State the expected date of birth.
5. Mention complications during pregnancy
6. State whether pregnant women are fit to fly.
7. The report must be issued 7 days before the date of travel.

Specific Medical Condition Policy

• A medical certificate from a personal physician certifying that the passenger can complete the flight without requiring extraordinary medical care during the flight may be required.
• The medical certificate must be dated within 10 days from departure and must be approved by the Royal Jordanian Department of Medicine/advisor.
• Medical Clearance is required for:

1. Passengers who need a stretcher on board.
2. Passengers requiring medical oxygen during flight.
3. Passengers whose medical conditions give rise to reasonable doubts about their ability to complete flight safety procedures without exceptional medical assistance during the flight.
4. Passengers who have an infectious disease or condition that could pose an immediate threat to the health or safety of others on board.
5. Due to certain illnesses or disabilities, passengers may have or develop unusual behavior or physical conditions, which may endanger or have the potential to endanger flight safety, health, or materially affect the comfort of other passengers or crew.
6. Passengers require medical attention and/or special equipment to maintain their health during the flight.
7. Passengers who recently underwent complicated surgery.
8. Passengers with complicated fractures.
9. Passengers with temporary vision or hearing loss.
10. Intellectual disability/cerebral palsy
11. Passengers traveling on a battery-powered respirator or ventilator or a Portable Oxygen Concentrator (POC) where medical clearance is required.
12. Passengers with severe visual and hearing impairment.

Infants and Children Policy

• Infants (7 days - 2 years) can travel accompanied by an adult at least 18 years old. Passengers traveling with infants benefit from our exceptional care services available on most Royal Jordanian flights.
• Infants who do not need an individual seat will be charged 10% of the adult rate and get one piece of checked baggage allowance (limit of 10kg) and one piece of luggage (such as folding prams or baby seats).
• Seats with bassinet are available on certain flights for infants less than nine months, but be sure to book early because this is allocated based on first arrival, first service.
• Babies stay safe during takeoff and landing through seat belts attached to adults and keep them comfortable and secure in the lap of adults.
• Passengers traveling with infants aged 6-36 months can use an airplane-certified car seat (if available at an additional charge).
• Passengers can travel with a maximum of two babies per adult passenger. Passengers must pay at least one additional full rate, and one of the babies is old enough to sit upright in their seat or an approved car seat.

Unaccompanied Minors

• Infants (0 – 2 years) are not eligible to travel on the Unaccompanied Minors program.
• Toddlers (above 2 years to 5 years) can travel on the Royal Jordanian Escort on scheduled flights only to the Royal Jordanian gates. The Royal Jordanian Escort must be arranged at least 48 hours before your scheduled departure.
• Children (above 5 years to 12 years) are eligible to travel to the Royal Jordanian gates.
• When traveling from/to the United States, Unaccompanied Minors are children under the age of 15
• Any Unaccompanied Minors traveling with RJ must carry a small bag offered by RJ's sales office with all necessary travel documents & data.
• Please note that Unaccompanied Minors can only check-in at Queen Alia International Airport and cannot check-in at Amman City Terminal.
